I got home this morning, did a few things around the house, and then played on the computer. Around 9:30 or 10’ish, I threw out my lighters, ash tray, and cigarettes and took the trash to the dumpster. I then went to bed.
The morning wasn’t so bad. I stayed away from the computer which is a big trigger but instead took some extra time in the bathroom; shaving and making myself look good (well good is not the word – perhaps better than normal).
Off to work and here I am.
I have quit before and there are certain “symptoms” of quitting that I have come to expect. Nervousness, irritability, runny nose and eyes, cough, chest pain, etc. So far the only symptom is tiredness and a slightly runny nose. The tiredness is most likely from the drop in adrenalin.
Anyway, I will be posting a lot of entries on this goal if only to keep myself busy. I’m sure you can all relate.
9:15pm ct – Here comes the Cough.

I missed the last three or four days so I will have to put them all on here.
1) Getting my car fixed – It was in the shop for three weeks getting the clutch repaired. Not having to walk to the bus every day is wonderful.
2) Teaching my son how to ride it bike – Even though I smoke and am out of shape I had a great time.
3) Quiet nights at work – I love it when I don’t have a lot of issues to deal with over night.
4) Not being sick – Three people called out today sick and a forth was sick but was told they had to come it. Poor guy. I feel fine and I can be glad that I’m not sick.
So I was doing good and then the weekend came. I haven’t touched my Bible since Thursday (although I have prayed a little). So what’s wrong with me? I suppose I just want to relaxe or something and don’t want to be bothered. Such a stupid reason really.
So now I am scheduling everything in my day so that I can focus on the stuff I really want to get accomplished. I have Bible reading first thing in the morning. Hopefully I will get back on track.
