I had always wanted to learn how to make pottery, but didn’t think I had an artistic bone in my body. My father-in-law gave me a gift certificate for a 10 week session at a local pottery studio, and within the first two weeks I had several beautiful bowls! It is so exciting to do something you never thought you could do, and even more exciting when you have instant success! Maybe I have an excellent teacher, or maybe I have a gift, or both, but pottery has changed me from a naysayer into a creative, expressive, positive thinker. Now I know that I am perfectly capable of doing whatever I want to do, as long as I go into it with a good attitude and give it a generous effort. Hooray, I LOVE pottery class!

I took lessons for almost 15 years and played beautifully, but when I was a junior in college, I needed the time for labs and never picked it up again.
