I guess I didn’t really factor the holidays into this. I figured with all my time off work, I’d have time to go running and slim down a bit, but instead I’ve just been eating. Too many cookies, chocolates, appetizers, large dinners… Plus, it’s been absolutely freezing out and I came down with a cold, giving me absolutely no motivation to run.
It’s quite a bit warmer out now, though, and with Christmas over, maybe the food will back off a bit. Maybe my new goal will be to try and not gain any more weight by the end of this vacation!

I’ve eaten a lot of different cuisines, but after a weird experience with thai pizza a few years ago, I’ve always shied away from real Thai food. My cousin and her husband finally convinced me to give it a real try – I had chicken pad thai and it was delicious! Good enough that I was quite sad when I forgot my leftovers in their fridge and they gotten eaten without me…
Definitely will try again, maybe even a different dish…
