This semester, I decided to knock this goal out by taking Intro to Philosophy. It seems very interesting, albeit not quite exactly for me. We’ve read Plato’s Republic and Descartes’ Meditations so far and my class has really surprised me. It seems that very few of my classmates had ever questioned their existence or thoughts and some were even unwilling to do this, as they were fearful of what they would find. I am amazed that people are afraid of philosophy because it causes them to question the status quo.

meteor showers
I saw a meteor shower about four years ago at 4am and it was lovely. I was with my girlfriend at the time and we ended up setting up a blanket and a few pillows at a park around 2am. We sat there and stared up at the void and pondering our insignificance for quite some time. Eventually others started showing up and out of nowhere the meteors started falling out of the sky. Definitely something I’d like to do again, even if there’s no meteors burning up in the atmosphere while I’m out.
