I’m a really big fan of tumblr.com. It seems to have a really stout network of bloggers and it has good tools to post.

How I did it: I drove to Austin and took my receiver to Mr. Wizard's in Austin. There was about a month long wait and it ended up costing me about $100 to fix, but it was worth every penny. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Soil, seed, water, light, nutrients, time and voila! There is a reason they call it "weed." It grows like a weed and is remarkably resilient. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I wrote songs and recorded them in my apartment using a Korg D1200 recording workstation. I got pretty good sounds as well from a crappy casio keyboard picked up off Craigslist for $20. Read how I did it…

I’ve decided that the album is done. It gets to a point where you just have to say “I could work on this forever if given the opportunity.” At some point, however, you just have to release it out into the world.
I’m releasing the album a an EP. I have more than enough songs recorded to fill an album, but there are so many problems with those other songs that I doubt I will be able to fix within in the next year. It’s time to move on.
That said, I think this will be my last album. I recorded two others and had big release parties and did all the hoopla associated with getting a CD printed and there hasn’t really been much of a return. I like the idea of doing just digital distribution. If I can get a group together soon, perhaps doing a printing will be something I should consider for the future to have something at shows. I just like the personal freedom associated with selling products with ZERO overhead.
Having dispensed with the business end of things, I believe this is a good record. Good sounds, good songwriting, good instrumentation—I think it is a good representation of “indie rock.”
I’m hoping to get a good initial rush of downloads when I first release. The release date is set for 05.08.2009. I set this date because besically anyone who would actually buy the album is in law school with me. 05.08.2009 is the last day of finals, so I figured it would be best to not try to sell something to people when they are stressed out and tired. We shall see.

As of last night my room was clean. I feel better about life already. It was a pain in the ass to do it, but it’s done and it feels GREAT.
