so I officially started on Monday. I’m doing the soup diet, running 3-4 days/week, and crunches nightly (or trying to!). I’ve lost 5 pounds in 4 days. Now I’m bumping the goal to 40 by Thanksgiving.

I’m back up to 2mi/day – the hard way, har har. After thinking about my plan, this schedule might be better:
W1: Run 2mi/day
W2: 2mi/day under 10min
W3: 2mi/day under 9min
W4: 2mi/day under 8min
W6: 3.5mi/day under 10min
W7: 3.5 under 9min
W8: 3.5 under 8
W10: 5mi under 10
W11: 5mi under 9
W12: 5mi 8:30
W13: 5 under 8
like, uhm, this. mission accomplished tomorrow.
It’s a gutbuster. Started it last night.

Next weekend, after getting the poetry for a week thing done.
In the meantime, I tough it out with this.
get back to running a good 5k distance.
Week 1: Run 2mi/day
Week 2: Run 3.5mi/day
Stay with 3.5 until I get my pace under 8min. That might take a month or two.
Week 8 or so: Run 5mi
Week 9 or so: Run 7mi
Stay with 7mi until I get my pace to 8min. That will take a month.
Week 13: Start adding a mile a week and/or taking 15-30 sec off my pace.
All of this is in conjunction with the dropping 30 thing, which is primarily with diet and core exercise.
I hope to have a test version complete by the end of Sunday. wewt!
