I’ve never really liked running. I was the kid in the P.E. class who lagged it the whole way. Lately, though, I’ve been trying to improve my health and tone up. Rob (the bf) has been taking me to the gym and we run side by side on the treadmills. It helps to have a partner because my competative streak kicks in and I won’t stop unless he does, I may slow down or walk, but I won’t stop. Anyway, tonight we went to the gym and I brought my iPod, tuned with the finest industrial (Apoptygma Berzerk) and we started running. I didn’t look down at the meter, I just kept running. Occasionally, I would look in the glass ahead of me and marvel at the fact that my collar bones were looking nice and my shoulders, shapely. By the time I stopped, I realized that I had run, not one, but TWO miles without stopping!!! I was winded, but it was sooooo worth it.
So here’s the tips:
*Partner=motivation
*music=rhythm
*seeing what good shape you are getting into=encouraging
*JUST KEEP GOING!! You can do it!!!
