I love my ASL 1 class. Sometimes it feels like we are moving a little slow, but it’s just that I have learnt other languages before and I like to go faster. I am trying to be a patient student though. I haven’t met any deaf people yet (other than my teacher). In the next few weeks we have to do some activities outside of class and that will give me more exposure to deaf culture. I can’t wait!

Finally I started an ASL class. I took a small Community Ed course 5 years ago. But this is a college class and I am very excited about it! It’s going to be fun, fun, fun!
I won’t add it in to things to do (or done), but as part of this achievement I also made another of my dreams true: to represent Don Quixote. I feel I have so many things in common with this character. I’ve been playing with the idea of representing the story (a few selected scenes) all by myself. I finally did it. (see www.adventuresofdonquixote.com) It’s a lot of work to self-produce your own one man show, but I have learnt sooooo much in the process! Now I am thinking of my new adventure, my new dream: a collection of stories from different countries, told in the language of origin! Yes, I want to do a multi-lingual play.
