Under $700 got me a Pentium 4 3.2GHz, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM, DVD-RW/CD-RW, 17” widescreen LCD monitor, and more… it’s running Ubuntu Linux and it’s fabulous!

P.S. Bought everything (except the case) at NewEgg.com, excellent site with great prices!

Right now I have my Dell Inspiron set up with Ubuntu and Windows because I was afraid to switch all the way. It’s partitioned half and half, 10GB each. I would go 100% over to Ubuntu except I can’t figure out how to install things on it!! Therefore I’m limited to the default programs that come on the CD. I probably should just get a book on this but I guess I’m not motivated enough yet.
It’s supposed to be as easy as Windows but I’m totally baffled when it comes to installing anything on it. :/ Would love some guidance so I can complete this transition!

I’ve been meat-free for almost a year and a half now, best thing I’ve ever done for myself. There are so many benefits physically and mentally that come with this. Definitely try it!
