I’m actually excersizing! I push the coffee table to the side, pop in the DVD, and get it in. I stare at the fembot, pray, and just make it through it; sweat pouring and all.
And look here: I’m a big girl. I’m going to be sopping wet (I keep a bath towel at arm’s length, so I can sop it up as I go), my heart feels like it can explode, and I feel like I might drop at any moment, but then it happens:
I transcend everything. I start thinking about how much I hate the way some of my clothes fit, I start thinking about how I felt when I was in better shape, I think about the days I didn’t feel sexy…
AND I GET PISSED.
All that anger gets me through it. Endorphins kick in and I handle it.
I’m completely spent when it’s over, but the important thing is, I get the excersize in.
After a week of consistent excersize, though, you start to feel a tingle in your muscles, rather than constant aching. You get a little proud of youself, and you feel like maybe you can get through one more workout (and so on)
You can do it.
Good luck

In a year’s time, no one has convinced me that my dream of having an all-female band can be realized.I have decided to let it go for the time being, while I put together a until with men. I’d even mix it up, but I still can’t find enough women to be that diverse.
Wish me luck.
I’ll keep you posted.

Still no liscence…a wild variety of horrifying events have taken place since then:
getting run off the road on the way to chesapeke city
being tailgated on rt.1
being pulled over for a questionable u-turn in williamsburg
being cut off countless times….
you get the idea.
But to tell the truth, I still want it. I want more independence. I want to stop feeling helpless as I have to run late by proxy, as I dangle at the mercy of whoever’s driving me to wherever.
Being a city girl,I generally don’t have to drive. But I do want the option.
Another seductive thought is PHILLY CAR SHARE – I get my liscence, then in 2 years, I’ll qualify to subscribe. Things being how they are with parkling (lack of), gas, and financial hardships, car rental definately seems the way to go.
I’ve GOT to find a way to do this!
