In 1995, in college I was the VP of the college Democrats. I was approached by our President who was contacted by the secret service to provide 4 drivers for the motorcade for a fundraiser. Incredibly, we got to go to the Sheraton Bal Harbor in Miami and drive cars in the motorcade right up to Airforce 1 and back. At the end of the day, we got to meet and talk to the President and Vice President and then drive both of them to Opa Locka airport where airforce 1 & 2 were waiting. In my car was the press secretary and some staff. I drove a massive car, about 4 cars behind the President. Talk about nervous! But it was incredible!!!
Not that you can really see extras and I certainly didnt get paid… I was in Any Given Sunday as an extra, it was filmed in Miami and a friend and I went down for the day to the Orange Bowl and were part of the filming. Then when they filmed runaway Jury in New Orleans I was there when they filmed the argument in Cafe Du Monde with Gene Hackman and Sandra Bullock. And last not not least, we were staying overnight on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA when they filled National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze 2 and we met the cast and saw several scenes filmed live, but we weren;t truly “in” them.
