How I did it: Baby Step 1 is saving $1,000 in an emergency fund. If your income is under $20k/year (which mine is), that number is $500. So it was a little easier for me. I have a savings account at a bank that I do not primarily bank at, which makes the money a little harder to get to, therefore a little harder to buy things on impulse. Read how I did it…
