i have done very well lately by spending my money primarily on gas and food, the only necessary things. i can count the number of times i spent money on things other than that, including a thrift store dress for halloween, and a few movie tickets, on one hand. it’s about having experiences instead of junk, and using what i already own instead of collecting anything else that will just be clutter.

How I did it: I really commit to not biting my nails...I admit the habit of putting my fingers in my mouth, and taking out my stress on my fingernails is not entirely gone. I still pick at and occasionally bite my cuticles. However, for the first time in my life I have very long nails, and have gone for a while with beautiful hands...I just need to relax a little more and let the bloody cuticles heal. Read how I did it…
How I did it: sidereel.com and project free tv, plus too much free time and a desire to laugh. Scrubs is always good, although I wonder how it will be once it returns on ABC Read how I did it…
How I did it: Addition! Compulsively borrowed seasons from friends who I know buy television seasons. Overall worth it, although we will see how the final blip of a season ends. Just wish that all the story lines stayed good. Read how I did it…

i just finished season 4 – what a wild emotional rollercoaster! love those ladies. jenny pretty much pissed me off all season though.
lately i only spend money on food (that is, lunches or dinners out), and gas. i cannot recall the last time i purchased something in a store. granted, this is only a two month memory lapse, roughly.
for gifts, i give lightly used books, or re-gift other items a friend might enjoy. i go to the library constantly for books and dvds as my entertainment.
i hope to be able to move out of my family’s house within a year, but i’m not sure how concievable that will be..still, it’s only wise to save my earnings.
