How I did it: I decided that I needed to start a skincare regimen, after I noticed I was looking particularly ashy one morning when I woke up. I bought the Avon Solutions Total Radiance kit, which had a morning cleanser, eye cream, and moisturizer, and then an evening thermal cleanser, "radiance gel" and evening moisturizer. Considering my previous routine was to wash my face every morning in the shower, this seemed like a pretty intense re… Read how I did it…
How I did it: The walkway to my front door was surrounded on both sides by weeds, and what looked like very nice topsoil. I decided to spruce it up a bit. First I weeded the area, since it was very overgrown, and then headed to the store for some flowers. I prefer perennials, since they grow nicely every year and don't have to be watered as much, so I bought some daylilies, coreopsis, and daisies, and planted them along the walkway.&n… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have been putting off cleaning out my closets for approximately five years (since I bought my house.) But now I am moving to a new house, so I decided to embrace the opportunity to sort out all the items I have collected over the years. I buy a lot of clothing that I very often never wear, so I thought I would sort things out into four piles: what I want to keep, stuff that needs to be thrown out, items that my friends… Read how I did it…

I’ve been interested in hiking the Appalachian Trail for some time, but besides requiring a good amount of time off from work (along with some savings to continue paying my mortgage), I think it will take a lot of preparation and practice. So I found a (slightly) easier goal: hiking all 46 of the High Peaks in the Adirondacks. I’m not suggesting that these are easier to climb physically. But they will be easier for me, since I live in Central New York, and have better access to the Adirondacks than, say, the Smoky Mountains! Plus, I will get the chance to go camping there like I used to as a child, which should be fun. So now I just need to invest in some hiking boots, a water bottle, and a backpack. It’s kind of nice to find something cool like this in your own backyard. =)
