It made me
laugh 
How I did it: I told my father that for his birthday, I was quitting smoking. Two birds with one stone there - super cheap, and super meaningful. I threw away all my ashtrays, told my friends I was quitting, smoked my way through one last pack, then never bought another. Read how I did it…

Well, I’ve finally snagged enough external hard drive space to run regular on-site backups. I think I should still probably sign up for Mozy or something, though, for another layer of protection in off-site backups.
