I have less than a month left and I’m not even close.
i failed to do this, but i don’t feel bad. i got frustrated trying to figure out what to give to and ended up falling really short.
what’s funny is after some of my initial frustrations with donation, i found out that my coworker holden was leaving to start a company specifically orientated around making donating more effective, competitive and transparent.
a lot of what exists out there is mediated towards making people ‘feel good’; around single misleading numbers like what % of money we donate—what holden, elie and some other people spearing up the clear fund aim to do is really make charities and donating fess up to how they are actually making ppl’s lives quantifiably better.

gogogo. i didn’t donate 2% last year; we’ll target that again this year, but i feel better this year—i’m at ~1% after supporting some causes my friends have vested interests in + theclearfund. if holden’s efforts go well, maybe this is smthing where the whole bucket will go.
