I am failing miserably at this, and my only excuse is that gchat makes it impossible to close that gmail browsing window in my in box. I hope that a new work email and structured days will make this goal possible.
But, my list looks something like this:
1. Exercising.
2. Cooking a good dinner with my hubband.
3. Having people over.
4. Writing for an hour.
5. Reading good fiction.
6. Doing work that I truly care about.
7. Interfacing with quality mentors.
8. Crossing things off the to do list.
9. Living in other lands.
10. Watching fuzzy mammals play out their funny fuzzy mammal behaviors (stalking, chasing, mewing, etc.)
11. Moisturizing.
12. Bouncing on my BALL!
As you can see, these aren’t unattainable or particularly expensive things. In fact, most of the items on this list are actions rather than objects, which makes me feel comforted. The onus on me, I guess, is to structure my days in such a way that I maximize performing these actions, improving the processes underlying the actions, and get compensated fairly for the work I do to pay the electricity bill.
