The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe by Douglas Adams
-The second in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series was quite different from the first, but in my mind just as enjoyable. As it picks up right where the first leaves off you couldn’t really read it on its own. It was, like the first, geared towards a specific type of reader but I quite liked it and look forward to reading the next installment.

How I did it: My boyfriend did all of the planning, so I just showed up at the train station. From there we took the Eurostar to Paris and once we arrived we hopped on the Metro. You can get pretty much anywhere on that thing. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Cold Turkey. It takes more than one try, but it does get easier. I quit 10 years ago and would never go back. The pulmonary embolism helped, but it still took 2 years after to finally kick the habit. Cigarettes are gross and smoke all over your clothes and hair stinks. It was easier for me as I no longer had roommates who smoked, so I didn't have to watch other people enjoying what I wanted. There are plenty of people out there willing to… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I decided to give my hair a break from all of the crazy colours I had dyed it in previous years when I started dating my boyfriend. I don't think he even noticed that my hair was no longer Chocolate Cherry. It took a long time to grow out the coloured part and I have seen a lot of my hair hit the floor of the salon, but I think it was a good choice. Someday my hair will start to turn grey and I'll go back to the bottle. Read how I did it…

I’d say I gave this a good try. Obviously when I am in England I have a lot more time for reading which is apparent when you compare the number of books I read in the beginning to how many I finished once I returned home at the end of February.
I am not ready to give up on this even though my birthday is tomorrow and I would only be able to finish book #15.
-SO, I’m changing the goal to 50 books by December 31st, 2009.
I thank everyone for the cheers I have received so far and hope that you will still be behind me as I make a small change to my goal.
Perhaps 34 by my 34th starting in the new year will be a way to atone.
Thanks!
Six Tales of The Jazz Age… by F Scott Fitzgerald
-Although I only read this for comparison’s sake against the film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” I did read all of the tales. “The Camel’s Back” was quite clever. A few of the stories didn’t thrill me. The Benjamin Button tale was hardly a bit like the film. The only similarity was that a baby was born old and aged in reverse. I thought the story was quite good, but best to be read thinking of it as a separate entity from the film. I didn’t think any of the tales were as good as “The Great Gatsby”.
