this morning, as I watched the news
I was angry, when I saw, a professional man, not being able to detach himself from his belief, and his professional obligation
And I could have walked away with that anger, that feeling, that the world, will eventually just do the world in
But I saw heroes…...young brave heroes
Who sheltered, protected and tried to save, that soldier, that person, that American, that life, next to them
carrying a victim to safety before you realized that you, yourself were shot as well.
I won’t be anger, tonight, I will be proud, that no matter how difficult the circumstance, we still, care, about each other

gave you time to say
I waited patiently, and listened
than you spoke it,”retired”
There was no party, no friends, there is still a feeling that things may change should the economy pick up
And I struggled, for you not working means we cannot be together, share, our lives except for cold keyboards, and plastic phones
There will be no warm body, to touch under cold hands
and my selfish side, wants to scream, I need you
and the part that loves you
just reminds me..I can wait to touch you again
Monday night, as I opened the door to my home
and there she stood, in front of me, in all her amazing beauty
She knew before hand, that she, and I, both had a rotten day
seperately
And she did something, that I have not seen her do since she was 4, she is now almost 15, she approached me, with her arms open
any good mother would have realized what she was offering
but, I, I asked What???? simply hug? was her response
And I, embraced her as if I was 4, and she comforted me as I cried wet tears on her shoulder
we said nothing, for quite some time
I would take, that bad day that I had and relive it a million times, for that one time, in which we needed so desperately to connect
She is my beautiful, unable to explain, truly wonderful daughter
