Start a Blog worth Reading and Following
This should be interesting.

I have toyed with this in my mind for too many years. Time to make it happen. I think I can do one worth reading.
I have started a small social experiment in regards to this blog. I left a few interesting items behind in the wilderness in which I backpacked recently. On the sketch that I left, which was sealed in plastic, I wrote a title to the sketch. That title is my blogs title. I will be interesting to see, if it raised enough curiosity, for someone to want to research what was left behind online.

fight my depression (read all 23 entries…)
We found him on Craigslist.

The last thing I wanted was the added responsibility of another dog.
But there he was, all 100 lbs of him, black as midnight starring back at me, in a photo, on that dreaded site. Of course there was the ad..”moving, cannot take animals. Save this dog from the pound.” Free to a good home.” Maybe I was feeling sentimental, or maybe I just related to plight to the dog, to my own life. And I soon found myself in my car, driving to West Virginia to retrieve a dog that was too big for my back seat.
I thought, I had saved that dog that day. It wasn’t until he was here with us for a month or two, did I realize, that he saved me. Or maybe we saved each other.
He’s the reason for my brisk walks three times a day. I gentle paw on my lap, to remind me he needs some attention. A massive face in lap when I need something to hug.
He is also the reason, for buying 5 new pair of flip flops this summer. But if his only fault is chewing shoes. I can live with that!

Podcamp Pittsburgh

I have been to Podcamp Pittsburgh, for almost 4 years now…I spend an entire day, with my favorite friend, that I don’t get to see often enough..wondering if we will ever apply what they are teaching us to our everyday life. After 4 years, well, I haven’t twittered, nor tweeted..nor Google plus.
I have sat silent, in a session, that is held by some of the best social media people, that get paid, big bucks, for doing what they love. And two days, out of a year, these young people, smart..brillant, take time out of their lives to share it with me, and my friend, and Pittsburgh, for free…
I may never blog, for profit..nor will I be some flaming outstanding blogger..but I know how to get started…they taught me…on their day off…
Information, knowledge, should be shared, at no cost….that’s what they taught me…I wonder if they realize, that was the best lesson I learned that day
