I’m hanging in there, menu-planning, and tracking my meals. as of last Thursday I was down six pounds, and we’ll see what this week holds (it’s been a slightly-over kind of week so far. yikes.)

How I did it: I follow the suggestions at http://www.flylady.net, where they work on establishing or reinforcing a new habit every month... I'd gotten out of the habit, and needed a boost.The first couple of says, I used a stopwatch, and was amazed to learn that making my bed takes less than 2 minutes, and usually closer to one minute!Writing about it here helped... it was an incentive to not let a day go by. one week left, and the kitchen is stocked… if I’ve cut my food budget in half + $40 during the first month, I’m going to be pretty impressed with myself.
a thing-left-undone gas thrown a wrench into the works of our wedding, and now it might not happen.
and in the middle of all this, a twist has come up that has me facing a be-mean-or-compromise moment, which seems so unfair because I didn’t cause this crisis.
