it is totally worth it!
in 5th grade, i had a friend whos mom had just died, and was so upset with her life that she wanted to commit suicide, and even told me that she was going to shoot herself after school. she had it all set up, she was going to steal her dads gun and shoot herself in the head.i convinced her to run away instead. so she came over to my house and we printed out road maps, ahe had her dads credit card number so that she would havesome sort of money. then she left my house planning to go to colorado where one of her moms friends lived.
the next day, i figured that she wouldnt actually run away, but she wasnt there, and i figured that running away was a lot better then killing herself. she came in about three hours after school started. when i had the chance, i asked her why she was late. she said that she had made it all the way to a park several miles away from where we lived when her grandparents found her and made her go back home. i was releived that she was still with me.
if it wasnt for me, she woul be dead right now, but we are still verry close friends and see each other every day at school.
