Istanbul supposedly has the largest number of ‘churches’, shrines and holly places in the smallest space. Plus they are some of the oldest and most beautifully decorated in the world.

I want the gift of gab!

I had a book when I was a kid, probably Richard Scarry, where this little pig family was going to kiss the blarney stone. After baby boy pig kissed it he wouldn’t shut up. Sometimes I won’t shut up, but mostly I don’t say enough about the right things.
Why?

Well, why not. They are ugly, smelly, angry and mean. And they spit on you. You have to travel to another country, most likely a dry, uncomfortably hot country where you will be surrounded by questionable characters. Who probably think riding a camel is the easiest thing in the world and will point at you and laugh right at that ‘Ooo, my ass’ moment. I’ll have to make sure someone has a camera.
