Sorry to have dropped out of sight for so long. Was out of town, got a bad winter cold, stopped exercising, got depressed, etc etc.
But I’m finally back and going to the gym Monday thru Friday (the treadmill is my friend…the elliptical trainer is my pal…someday I won’t hate the recumbent bicycles…And someday I may be brave enough to try one of the group exercise classes….argh!)
Trying to keep moving on something for an average of 30 minutes everytime I go. I’ve been doing this for a week and a half. I’ve committed to going for at least four weeks. We’ll see how it goes from there!

I both love and hate exercise.
I usually feel good after doing it, after I’ve finished, but I still often feel awkward and clumsy and out of shape for the first block of time. And that means I’m a bit discouraged for the beginning portion of almost every session I have at the gym.
Anyone have any suggestions?
It’s the first 15 minutes that get to me. If I can get myself to the gym, get dressed and get myself on some sort of cardio machine for at least 15 or 20 minutes, then I’m ok. I’m past the feelings of my muscles being stiff and feeling clunky. But those first 15 minutes? Argh….

I already go to the gym twice a week. I’m hoping to lose 5 more pounds by year end. My only hope of doing that is adding more cardio each week. Ack!
I can do it! I can do it! One day at a time…one hour at a time, just 15 minutes more…
