It’s summer ‘06 – I’m living in OC,NJ before belly-flopping into the real-world with all it’s stinging show-offiness. Graduated Villanova just under the wire. If I were to give advice to fellow prospective graduates, I would say – don’t get the meal-plan if you have a kitchen, you can do it a lot cheaper. Don’t buy books from the bookstore and don’t sell your books back to the bookstore – plan ahead and use websites.
Do your assignments so you can live freely. Don’t miss opportunities to meet people – just get out there!
Find a great professor to mentor you and form a relationship with – it doesn’t matter if s/he’s not your advisor.
Get hip to technology – fear and ignorance of it will put you behind.
It goes fast. Make a few definite lifelong friends, and you’re golden.
