I’ve decided to minor in Music Theory! After thinking about what I wanted out of the minor, it was much easier. I want to pursue something that interests me, but also lay the groundwork for a lifelong avocation. Since I’ve already been making and listening to music for so long, it turned out to be the natural choice!

I’ve decided to do a minor because it’s impossible for me to combine all my interests into a single field of concentration. However, it’s nearly as difficult for me to decide on just one thing to add! Right now, the top candidates are Art History, Music Theory, and Literature. I’d like to do something arts-related to offset my eminently marketable major (International Communication). But I also hear the calls of Philosophy, History, Linguistics, and a whole host of “pure” sciences… this higher-education thing is much more confusing than I imagined!

Maybe by car (if I learn how to drive). Maybe by bus (if I can handle the anonymity). Maybe by foot (if my common sense decides to take a vacation). Maybe by pogo stick (if I ever acquire some gross motor skills).
