Spent the morning volunteering in the Kindergarten classroom, came home, took a short nap, picked up the house a bit, picked the kids up from school, then did the entire yard…mowed, weeded, weed wacked, edged, then reseeded one whole side of the grass, raked and swept. It looks glorious. When I came in, I said to my son: “That wore me out, but it looks great, and that makes it feel worth it.” He replied: “Mom, it’s called being proud.”. -Yea. Proud.

that one of my nine year old daughter’s closest friends is really ill (in a possibly life threatening way). Whoosh. Blows me away to think of this bubbly, energetic, amazing little girl that we all know and love physically battling for her life. Cherish every moment. We just never know.
oh, pooh.

I’ve tried to make nightly reading a priority, but at the end of what are sometimes (or often) long days, couldn’t cut it in an every day way, so, new goal: Sunday nights. The kids get fed and bathed early, we lay down an hour before bedtime and read to our hearts content. Tonight: Winnie the Pooh. Laughter-induced belly aches all around. I think I love Sundays.
