Make it ONE DAY without the TV on
70+ hrs/week of work = 2 years ago

That’s right. Immersing myself in work has paid off tremendously. Also, moving in with my grandmother helped out with the goal more than anything. I no longer have the time to watch tv, and I have gone way more than 1 day without tv. At this point, it makes me wonder what I was thinking when I made this a goal. Obviously, it used to be a problem…

adopt an older dog from the animal shelter
Brutas 2 years ago

I adopted a 1 yr old lab mix two days ago from the humane society. While he’s definitely not the oldest dog I could have adopted.. I still feel like I have completed this goal. He’s already a big dog, plus he had been at the shelter for a month already. Most likely he probably wouldn’t have been adopted.. Also, his family gave him up for adoption after keeping him for a year. It’s also speculated that he was probably abused.. Poor thing. I think I just really wanted to make a difference in a dog’s life that had been given up. So, I’m counting this as being finished… however in the future I wont hesitate to adopt older dogs that are 6+

I use it every day. I track every single calorie that enters my body. It may be a bit obsessive, but I wouldn’t eat enough per day if I didn’t track it! So it has become a daily part of my routine once again.

I have successfully become dependent upon my planner. I do follow my to do list, but I am lenient at the same time. I believe that following a to do list provides a sense of making one feel accomplished at the end of their day… and that is just how I feel :)

find a job i like
Untitled 2 years ago

I LOVE my job. I’m working with children that have autism, and it is absolutely the most rewarding job I have ever had. Of course, I wouldn’t mind a pay increase, but I suppose that’s all in due time :) Until then.. I am very happy with the job that I found.

Write a resume such that I feel good about it
Resume Complete 2 years ago

I think this thing is completed. I like the resume I created, and I feel like it is a bit more personal than most of the ones I have seen. It accomplished it’s goal, and I start work next Monday… So other than tweaking my resume a bit, I feel good about it :)

So I’ve continued to use calorie-count.net. It’s a great place with a large support network. I think I’ll count this goal as being completed after I meet my goal weight. :)

I got a job offer. We are in the process of scheduling my training. It’s at a place called Hope Reach. They just opened a couple of months ago, but from what I was told they have a waiting list of clients waiting for people to be trained :)

So, I’m really excited.. This means I can start paying back all those college loans! Yay!

Interview 2 years ago

So far I have interviewed with two companies. The third will be tomorrow, but I’m starting to think that it is a bogus job. It was listed as a nonprofit company that deals with helping autistic children. Perfect job. I sent my resume in this morning, and I was called back in less than an hour. So this is why I think it’s bogus..
1. The guy said that he wanted to set up an interview with me and asked if tomorrow would be fine…. because he has a group of us meeting at the same time. This will be my first group interview.
2. I asked where they were located… he said that everyone would be meeting at the Atlanta Bread Company! So I’m convinced that this is some how a scam and the guy is just using it to pick up chicks lol. Valid company email address though… so???

I guess it wont hurt for me to go see what it’s all about. Worst thing it is a scam and I walk out. Meh..

No more diet coke :( 2 years ago

I actually started dreaming a couple of nights ago that I was drinking a very cold diet coke. Mmmm.. So far this is the longest that I’ve ever gone without sodas, but luckily it hasn’t been much of a problem.
