the cons outweigh the pros, and I’ve lived all over the city (which might be one of the cons, a new apartment every lease). I can’t wait to get outta here, but I’m so glad I went to school in the city rather than the burbs.
I was always that kid who was terrified of class presentations, and straight out of college I have a job giving tours at a museum. Honestly, I just freaked out and prepared as much as I could and dreaded the day I’d actually be guiding, and the time came and… It was so much easier than I’d built it up to be. I think it’s one of those practice-makes-perfect things; the more often you do it, the less time you have to psych yourself out. It also helps to watch people who are phenomenal speakers, then you can just mimic them and their Newscaster Voices.
