My girlfriends and I started a book club after reading the twilight series. We realized we all we reading them and wanted to share and we should take such an antisocial hobby and make it an excuse to spend more time together. We had our first official meeting last week where we discussed how we were going to run this thing and we chose to read Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire stories in honor of the new HBO series Trublood. We’re starting with Dead Until Dark starting September 1st. We’ll be announcing the discussion date once we have an idea of how quickly we’ll finish it. I’m assuming we’ll all read it in a week or two. If you’re interested in joining, look us up on Google Groups or Myspace! You can participate in the discussions when announced and read with us. However, to be an official member of the book club you must read all the books within the deadline and attend all meetings. Unofficial members are always welcome through our online forums!
