“When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks Like a King…” is good, not great, and “Extraordinary Machine” is over-processed. :p

How I did it: It began when she connected with me through Facebook, so I can hardly take credit. But we have been trading messages and hope to keep up the pattern. In 2009 I look forward to seeing her in person. Read how I did it…
I completed my first race in over six years, a 5K, on Jan. 17. My time was not impressive, nor was it the point.
I hopped out of bed at 5:30 a.m., dressed in layers, drove to the race site, registered, stretched, stood around, stretched again and jogged 3.1 miles in 40-degree weather between 7:30-8 a.m. Yikes! That’s the last time I register for a January race.
Perhaps I can train for the San Francisco half-marathon in July.
I’m roughly 1/3 of the way through the Spring semester (although it does not feel anything like Spring tonight). I am somewhat tempted to enroll in a 10-day study abroad program this summer that would lead me to Budapest, Hungary; Vienna, Austria; and Prague, Czech Republic. The cost (including tuition, flight, hotel and tours BUT not including spending money and most meals) = $4,400. It could be an incredible experience… but would it be financially dumb?
