xmas gratitude

at the close of dec 25th, 2011 i’m grateful

that the hoopla is over. it was fun but i’m done and ready to move on

that i allowed all of december to be christmas month, which did a lot of things: 1.allowed me to plan well in advance so i wasn’t stressed the day before or ever week before christmas 2. kept me joyful, busy and others-focussed during the first real winter month when seasonal depression usually kicks in – thus i did not suffer much this month 3. really gave me time to plan thoughtful gifts and decorations

for getting to see my family and friends. i packed a lot of trips in and saw everyone i wanted, including my sister in law whom i adore

for a christmas date, who is not, as of this writing, a romantic interest, but who was a great buffer at all the right times and one of those people i can truly be myself around and don’t have to worry about entertaining in social situations. his contribution to the festivities included the car to the family gahterings and the road trip soundtrack of 80’s glam metal sing-a-longs. perfect

for my aunt’s generosity in footing the bill at fancy restaurant. i was prepared to but would’ve had more of a financial hangover than i already do

that there is a morning yoga class that i’ll be going to to wring out all the weekend’s toxins

that most of my gifts were received well, including the just-for-fun biz card i printed up (for free) at vistaprint.com (see pic)

and to all a good night!

Today I am grateful for…

the smell of pine trees. even if only inside an apartment, i’ll take it

that this list is still here, and i can write on it any time i want.

for a long day of good honest work, and the feeling of good-tired i have now

for a big tip

that i’m 39 and feel young, excited about life and filled with plans and dreams. not at ALL the way i pictured i would be going into my 40th year.

Grateful!

For the following….

got the yoga work-study, going in for training this weekend :)

a great class tonight – i am SO INSPIRED by this studio and so beyond excited that it is 3 blocks from my house

the surprise birthday gift (a grant/fund) i set up for an artist friend, who birthday is today, was a successful surprise, and all aspects of it went well

the generosity of everyone who contributed. i am amazed, again and again by how much abundance we can create and receive just by ASKING

all the self improvement and business books i’ve read. they all have amalgamated in my brain and guide me well
