at the close of dec 25th, 2011 i’m grateful
that the hoopla is over. it was fun but i’m done and ready to move on
that i allowed all of december to be christmas month, which did a lot of things: 1.allowed me to plan well in advance so i wasn’t stressed the day before or ever week before christmas 2. kept me joyful, busy and others-focussed during the first real winter month when seasonal depression usually kicks in – thus i did not suffer much this month 3. really gave me time to plan thoughtful gifts and decorations
for getting to see my family and friends. i packed a lot of trips in and saw everyone i wanted, including my sister in law whom i adore
for a christmas date, who is not, as of this writing, a romantic interest, but who was a great buffer at all the right times and one of those people i can truly be myself around and don’t have to worry about entertaining in social situations. his contribution to the festivities included the car to the family gahterings and the road trip soundtrack of 80’s glam metal sing-a-longs. perfect
for my aunt’s generosity in footing the bill at fancy restaurant. i was prepared to but would’ve had more of a financial hangover than i already do
that there is a morning yoga class that i’ll be going to to wring out all the weekend’s toxins
that most of my gifts were received well, including the just-for-fun biz card i printed up (for free) at vistaprint.com (see pic)
and to all a good night!
