I mean this will take weeks, to watch the stuff I’ve bought over the years and never even opened the package. Don’t know what happens to me with books and movies, I see them at a great price, and/or it’s something that I want, so I get it, but then it seems like I never get time to open it! It doesn’t help that I don’t like watching movies by myself, so I always wait until I have someone to watch it with….

And it’s not just one or two books; I have tens of books that I have never even opened, let alone started! I should add watch DVDs I own but haven’t watched as well, I’ve got stuff from two years ago in my Columbia House days that I never even opened!! LOL Wonder if I can find that goal anywhere…
I put a date down, but I can’t really say that’s when it was; all I know is that one day I realized “Wow, it’s been a long time since I thought about using!” I don’t worry about it all the time anymore, and it’s such a relief…
To anyone who is struggling with getting clean: YOU have to find what works for you. I can’t tell you what will work for you, we are not the same. First you have to decide within yourself that it’s truly time; not “I should quit” or “I think it’s time to quit”, it has to be “I am so sick and tired of this, I just can’t do it anymore.” After that, you can start figuring out what is more important to you than those drugs, and that’s what you shoot for. For me, it was not being so sick and tired; that’s what was important. See, it sounds simple but it’s not. It wasn’t the I have a cold or I’m tired kind of sick and tired. It was the kind that shows in your face, the kind that can be smelled on your skin, and tasted on your lips. I had to get away from that, or it was gonna kill me. As you can see, I’m still here!
