See "Wicked" on Broadway
Loved the book 4 years ago

Love the bits of the soundtrack I’ve heard on Launchcast.

Happy to finally settle the raging debate on how to pronounce Elphaba (I was right! ;-)).

Hint hint, hubby!

go out on "date nights" with my spouse on a regular basis
But what do we talk about? 4 years ago

I worry about this, because the times we have gone out places without our daughter, it becomes apparent too painfully and too quickly that we don’t have much other than her in common. We love each other lots, but we’re so different. I feel like it’s a catch-22: I want to spend more time with him so we can have more common experiences to talk about, but I feel more distant the more time we spend together.

watch less television
Miss the good old days 4 years ago

When hubby and I first married in 1996, we didn’t have a television. A co-worker a year later felt it was so very, very unheard of to not posess a television gave us an old black and white one her family didn’t need. Then my mother gave us a normal sized color one for xmas. And then we ended up with basic cable. Then we ended up with the expanded cable (no pay channels, but stuff like Lifetime, MTV, and other mind melters). We’re back to basic cable (networks and a few extra channels, mostly just for reception).

I doubt we’ll get back to the days of no television, but I’d like to get over the idea of having the TV on in the background when I’m up at night after everyone else is asleep.

Progress: we haven’t watched TV during dinner for ages. I turn off the TV when daughter is awake and I’m not actively watching something.
