living room is very clean, everything is dusted off and vacuumed, even sofa.
So I only have mopping of the floor left… But that’ll have to wait until next weekend. One step at a time :)

How I did it: After having not shaved my legs since about new years, I decided that I might as well wait for spring and get a proper wax at a salon. So, about two weeks ago, I finally got off my but and booked an appointment! Stockholm is full of "beauty schools" where you can book a student appointment for about half the usual cost. The students are very thourough and careful, and do a great job. If your schedule is a bit flexible it's a given! The dow… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Finally, the last day of the three day long 1st of May holiday weekend, I kicked my self in the butt and organized my messy bedroom. Started with putting all strewn around clothes in to the closet. Continued with what felt like a hundred paper and plastic bags filled with various content after weekends away, and a sad break up (break?). Tidied up the dogs' baskets. Wiped off all surfaces (dusty!) and, last, but oh so not least, vacuumed!!… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took up my summer clothes from the basement, and let the plastic Ikea storage box (with clothes) litter my bedroom floor for about a week. The next weekend I washed all winter hats and scarves one, then left everything again in my room... The weekend after that, I finally mustered up enough energy to unpack the summer clothes, and put down all hats and scarves, gloves and other winter paraphernalia in the plastic box, which I carr… Read how I did it…

last week I bought a lot of cleaning supplies and started to do some light cleaning around the apartment.
Today (sunday) I finally cleaned my kitchen floor! I mean with water and stuff, not just the vacuum. Haven’t done that in a long time…
So kitchen is basically done, but I can’t mark the goal as completed until I’ve done the oven and the (nasty smelling :() fridge. That’s my project for next weekend, so soon soon I’ll be able to cross this off!
I just received a pay increase, but considering how long before that I have had my (very low!) salary, it’s just not enough. And I don’t know if I can get any more at my current job. I’m also not very confident that I could find another job, since I don’t have any real education, just kind of learning by doing.
Well, I need to do something about the situation and soon! I want to be able to get an apartment and start feeling at least a bit financially secure. Something needs to happen by fall. As I see it I have three options:
1. Get a significant pay increase at my current job. From 2200 euro to 2500 euro (just received an increase from 2000 to 2200).
Does not feel highly likely.
2. Get a new job with a higher salary. The best and “easiest” way to a pay increase is to switch jobs. As I wrote above, don’t feel very confident about that…
3. Go back to university, get my degree (in literature! there are no jobs with those qualifications anyways!!) and try to get a job after that. This option obviously will take some planning and waiting…
