I recently got accepted to write for Examiner.com covering fashion. It’s more formal than blogging, but I still enjoy it. I don’t mind journalistic writing, though I think the pay is dependent on how many people actually read my articles.

It’ll take awhile for me to reduce my stash to a manageable size. I had a few skeins put away for projects, but I don’t really have the patience to use it all. If I do take the time to knit or crochet, I’ll focus on small projects: hats, scarves, socks, gloves, etc. Maybe even a small bag or something.
I went from a part time content writing job at an ecommerce company to a full time (contract) web dev position at an advertising agency. I did go back to school for a web design certificate, so it didn’t happen over night. I would have gone for a web scripting certificate also, but the college I went to never offered all the classes required for it. Anyways, I started my new job less than 2 weeks ago and I’m already enjoying it. I encourage others to pursue what they enjoy rather than just go for the big bucks.
