I highly advise signing up with temp agencies. They do all the hard stuff for you, and much faster. I was employed less than a week after my interview.

Weekends spent in fancy hotels are good for this.

My car is so close to dead it’s not even funny. Fortunately, I’m finally working a job that pays me more than what it costs to live, so I’ll probably be able to afford one in a few months. Fortunately, all three of the cars I’m looking at are under $15,000. Woo.
