Well, I am slowly working on my goal and even though it seems like I’ll never get there I am actually making pretty good speed and am right on target to meet my goal. So far I have knit 2 preemie hats, a purple hat and a blue hat. I will post a picture when I get the chance. There have been a few set backs, but its okay. I called the NICU to make sure I was making the right size, and I am, so thats not a worry. I also got the chance to talk to a nurse that was actually working there when I was there, which was pretty neat.

I’m a little frustrated with this goal, because it doesn’t seem like I’m making much progress at all. It really doesn’t seem like I am able to make any headway. At the end of each month I am just barely getting by. I suppose it doesn’t help that I don’t have a real steady income. Oh well. I’ll just keep trying.
25 years ago I was born a preemie at Providence Hospital. The day after I was born there was another girl who was born, also a preemie. Over the years our parents have exchanged Christmas cards and last year we met for the very first time. What was strange about our meeting was just how similar we were, we look very similar (and are often confused as sisters now when we’re out) we have very similar interests, and opinions, our personality types are similar, our mannerisms are similar, likes and dislikes, all of it! Now that we are approaching our 25th birthday I thought it would be nice to do something to give back to the NICU where we were born. My goal is to create 25 craft items (blankets, booties, hats, comfort items) to donate to the NICU at Providence. One for every year that we have lived! :)
