Well, I got accepted to George Mason University!! The big envelope arrived in the mail over a week ago. As I was pulling it out with a quizzical look on my face it dawned on me at the same time I the GMU logo on the envelope appeared. Needless to say, a huge smile crossed my face. After riding the elevator and deciding to pass on telling the pizza delivery guy that I just got accepted to pursue my Master’s degree, I decided to call my older sister. She’s considering pursuing a Master’s degree and I wanted to encourage her. Well, long story short, I’ve since registered for a summer course in Econometric Methods and I’ve registered some classes for the Fall Term.
I didn’t think that I would actually pursue this and it feels great that I am really going to pursue this!!

It's easier
I love the simple foods. Cutting strawberries in the morning and putting water in a bowl with oatmeal and microwaving it is actually easier than waiting in line at McDonalds. Focusing on simple foods also makes it easy to shop. V8 juice is the only way that I get my vegetables but that’s a start too. I’ve decreased my soda use substantially which is a good thing. It’s not too hard on the wallet. Plus ice cold water increases metabolism. So far this is going well. Thanks for all of the cheers!!

Other than adding a few fruits, OJ, and yogurt to my diet this has been a flop. I have to eliminate salt from my diet, eat out less, add vegetables, cook for myself and eliminate soda. However that is all that keeps me going, the caffeine and the elevated blood sugar levels. Any suggestions?
