Title says it all. The worst is over. I was at 100 degrees when I went to PT on Tuesday, and looking back at last year, I’m doing better this time!
I came back to school yesterday and today. I’m pretty much taking it easy, reading.
As much as I am dreading all the work I have to do…ALL the work…at least I know what to expect. This between time sucks majorly, but it goes by quickly.

After a year of rehab, surgery, more rehab, and working to rebuild my strength, my right knee was feeling pretty good. Not perfect, but definitely much better. On June 8, however…one day short of the one year anniversary of my first knee injury…I did the same thing. I tore my ACL…in my OTHER KNEE.
I can’t believe I did this again! So, I’m back…my journey restarts. I’m already doing physical therapy and figuring out my health insurance.
I definitely don’t recommend injuring your knees twice…but the second time around is definitely easier, at least as far as knowing what to do…

regaining range of motion is a pain in the butt. PT has me doing deep squats to put force on the knee and make it bend. It is excruciating! I know if I don’t do this, I won’t get my ROM back..but it hurts so much!
on a happier note, I went bike riding this weekend! I felt like I was going to die…this was the first aerobic exercise I’d had since the injury 4.5 months ago. I was super proud of myself though. I’ve come a long way.
