I so did not believe this stuff.
It might not have even been any crazier if I had been smoking something.
The end.

This is the little girl I sponsor through World Vision. Her name is Mangamma and she lives in eastern India. I know it is a big responsibility to commit to sponsoring a child, but I knew when I got her most recent letter that $30 a month for 14 years (she was 4 when I started sponsoring her) is so worth it to hear that a little girl in a famously misogynist state loves going to school and wants to be a police officer someday. It’s so amazing to know that my part-time job here in upper-middle-class America is helping her get opportunities she might never have had otherwise, things that I’m so used to taking for granted. She is so beautiful.
If there’s a possible way to make this experience cooler, I’ve gotta say that it’s even more awesome when said mistletoe is a clump that you harvested yourself and personally hung over the doors in your dorm. It’s all about the personal touch ;-)
