How I did it: i adopted ginger from the spca... it was a great experience and totally worth it. she was the last in her litter. the investigators found her mom, pregnant, in an abandoned house. the owners packed up and moved away and left her there, pregnant with a litter. i heard the story, and saw how little she was and how loving she already was in spite of her situation and just had to take her home... so i did! Read how I did it…
...this may! i can’t wait! and due to my line of work, it’s appropriate to put those three initials after my name. :) i can NOT wait!!

class of 2010 ;-)
...but my motivation has been restored. i’ve decided to run my first half-marathon next year. i’m starting with my training now. i do weight training for about 4 times a week, run 3 times a week (2 miles a day, totaling 6 miles a week), and i’m signing up for regular vinyasa and hot vinyasa yoga once a week. the yoga will really help with balancing the muscle tightness associated with weight training (i can’t give it up. i love it too much) and the need to lengthen my stride while running.
in theory, this formula should work. i kinda want to try my hand at running a half marathon before oct 2010. there’s a half-marathon coming up in march. we’ll see if i’m ready for that one by february.
