I volunteer every week at St Pat’s Catholic Church doing their bulletin. I volunteer every chance I get for activities at the Church …like selling fireworks and working at dinner fundraisers.
I volunteered a few times at a no-kill shelter in Auburn, Nebraska ( http://www.hua.org ) Hearts United for the Animals. It was very hard for me. I cried constantly. I found a friend that I wanted to adopt and someone else adopted him. I am now working up the courage to adopt a special needs dachshund (see my entry for “adopt Telly”)
I dont feel I am doing enough. I have nothing but time on my hands. : (

Telly lives in a shelter. He has no use of his back end and is a ‘cart dog’. The first half of his life was in a puppy mill. His back was bad and nobody fixed it or gave him pain meds. He is now in a cage at a no-kill shelter. I want to give him a loving home for the rest of his life. He is a bald, blue, mini dachshund. His name is Telly after Telly Savalas!

I have had The Maids come every other week for about a year now. I have to clean house before they come so that THEY can clean. Four gals take a little over an hour. It costs $140 and I tip each of them $10.
