I have been planning on quitting smoking for months! My grandpa died from it a year and a half ago. It was heart wrenching to watch him go through it. After he died, I promised myself I would throw the pack away, but I haven’t. I look forward to finally winning the battle over this addiction!!

How I did it: I stuck to my guns and worked my butt off!! I studied even when I didn't want to and I kept my eye on the prize!!I really believe that it was my honest willingness to complete school. It took long hours and many sleepless nights, but I had to always remind myself that it would soon be over. What a payoff!! She said that there was an opening there and she would love for me to come and apply. I jumped at the chance! Today, I wo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: First, I bought a few books on mediation and tried to follow their instructions. I practiced for a while and felt okay with it. Then, I looked in the phone book for places that teach people how to meditate. I went there and got one on one instruction. I left there with confidence and peace of mind. Today, I am still learning but finding it easier to quiet my mind. Read how I did it…

Okay. I make a vow every morning to stay away from the good stuff. I went and bought tons of health food and it is still in my fridge. I wish that I could find something that tastes as good as chocolat or McDonald’s french fries that is healthy for you!!
I like to get caught up in what I want or what I don’t have. But, when i look at the people in my life and focus on being grateful for what is happening in the present moment, everything falls ito place.
