How I did it: it is all very easy once you know what your doing. it is all relative to where your hunting, and what the deer are like where you are hunting, for example i have not hunted on my land in almost a decade, the deer are curious by nature, and want to know just what the heck you are? so i really don't need a stand but i decided to give it a shot this year to see if it was something i liked. How I did it: well I realize that this site is quiet addicting, but first things first get off the internet, and just get a move on. then of course make sure you figure out a good way of staying on task while rewarding yourself, in my case i have to use my computer, so what i do is i take my computer off the charger, and then set up the tv/dvd player with some office, so heres the way it goes, work on the homework until your computers battery is … Read how I did it…
well this is not to difficult really, set up the deer stand, wake up early and wear blaze orange clothing. proceed to be motionless for the next few hours until your game happens upon you. well okay it is a bit more involved than that, you need to be in good enough physical shape to where you can drag 200 to 250 pounds of deer behind you for a half mile, or more, and then get it into the back of a truck. pretty simple really. Depending on experience and conditions this can take as few as 3 to 4 days, it took me longer, since well I had to make a path to drive back to my hunting land, which is located about a mile into a wooded area, and then I had to still chainsaw my way back another 1/4 mile to the area I wanted to hunt.
Well I first started at a private 4 year college, that didn’t suit me, the college was filled to the brim with students who were well off, and I really could care less about that. So I moved to new college after that first year. To begin with my first major when I was going to college was Pre Dentistry, which I know is really not my cup of tea. I ended up changing my major 5 times before I found the right one, I went from pre dental, to biology, to a teaching degree in biology, to technical education, to industrial technology model making, and then finally I found prototype engineering. Which I know sounds grandiose and complicated, but to sum it up, this major gives me the skills and abilities to work on product development by making the very first prototype or model of a product from scratch, it is very exciting to learn about for me. Plus I get to work with my hands, and I love to work with my hands. So here I am at bemidji state university going to the only program of it’s kind in the country, and frankly I can’t see myself doing anything else.
