for not even attempting a graduate degree. I was too old, too busy, not smart enough, etc, etc, etc. Getting laid off in 2010 was my wakeup call and gave me the kick in the pants I needed. Yes – I’m old enough to be mom to many of my fellow students, but so what. I love being around them and I’m a much better student than I was in my undergraduate days. I had to do extreme pruning on my outside activities – so I’ve been away from 43things. Missed the fun and encouragement I found on here. Hope to be back regularly soon… I’ll be graduating in two months!

All 3 of our phones had already died, but thanks to various friends - we all had old discards to put our Sim cards in until we upgraded. I seriously looked at switching carriers, but T mobile doesn't work where my son goes to school. I've had Verizon in the past, but knowing that my daughter w… Read how I did it…
degree in Statistics. Love being back in school and really enjoying stats with the application of technology (much more fun than when I was doing everything by hand back in the dark ages :D )
In a way it will probably be a good thing – I’ve been hating that job for a while now… I was bored, not making much money and tired of my a.h. boss. I was using the recession as an excuse to not find something else.
I’m not going to let myself get too down. I spent a few hours weeping and worrying, then the rest of the day furiously cleaning the house. An evening out with friends really helped. Now I need to look at all of my options and start plotting and planning and actually getting stuff done
