Going Blonde.

From dark brown …Done! And without bleach!
[edit] This was very scary as I’ve been dying my hair dark for years… I finally went (still quite nervous!) and got it done in just one short session at the hairdressers:) If you’re having doubts, just go for it!

I think I’ve now done this enough times to be able to cross it off :)
The best so far was when Caroline and I were listening to my mp3 player whilst walking through St Anne’s Square – when Blur’s “Song 2” came on, we lost all sense of dignity and ran down the middle of the road singing… It was great.

I always said I wouldn’t get one; vinyl is the way forward! I’ve heard so many stories of them being a pain in the arse, that they’re so hyped… But they just look so good… And the convenience of being able to carry around all my music would be great.
I would love to go for long walks in fields or cities with my iPod on random… Knowing you can keep going with over 250 hours of music to listen to… The possibility of so many songs coming on; to match any mood, any scenary, any event… Perhaps even giving you a whole knew view on – or feel to – the place you’re in.
Also, you’re not stuck with a single CD, or that compilation you made last year and know the tracklist to by heart. You don’t have to stop and fumble about with CDs, their cases and a chunky walkman everytime you fancy a change.
That’s not to say I’ll stop buying CDs, vinyl and cassettes – My collection is far to satisfying to ignore!
That’s it, I’ve just talked myself into buying one… Only took 3 paragraphs.

I’ve missed them playing local venues on too many occasions now… The worst was Blackburn in 2003. I’ve been listening to their music for 11 years, have all their releases, love Alex James beyond all comprehension, and yet I’ve never seen any of them in person?!
I’ll never be able to go back to 94/95 and see them “in their prime”, but I’m pretty positive a Blur gig then or twenty years from now would have the same effect – My life is nae complete until I see them!
Apparently, they’re playing some small, un-hyped gigs before Christmas…
