I think I’ve done more growing in the past 2 years of university, then my whole life! It took me an entire academic year to acclimatize to the rush of it. They really kick you to the curb first year.
I’m entering 2nd year civil (I’m a bit in limbo between 2nd and 3rd year). I spent 08/09 in Geomatics engineering – definitely not me, an interesting experience though. It’s incredibly hard to stay focused in classes you have no interest in.
I cannot wait to get into more civil classes, I want to specialize in structural but I’m hesitant to make my goal “Become a Civil engineer” only because I’m young and I change my mind.
It took me 2 years to figure out I want to stay in Engineering (that it’s where I belong and where I want to be) but I’m still bouncing between civil and mechanical! =P
