simply put, i won’t be able to move forward with any of my projects without money to make them happen. the CD needs a publicist/radio promoter. there’s more recording to be done. my credit card bills are piling up. it’s getting ugly out here.

How I did it: I thought about this album for a long time before I actually attempted to do it. I knew the musicians I wanted to work with, the standards I wanted to sing and I had an idea of how I wanted the entire album to flow. I also knew that I wanted to do it on 2 inch tape, that I wanted mostly original material and that I wanted the songs/arrangements and the vox to be more upfront than the musicianship. After the preliminary recordings we… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did this in three easy steps: i changed the way i ate in this way: a. i did an absolute fast on the first day - no water, no food, nothing. b. i did a water fast on the second day. that's right. nothing but water, water, water. c. i did a juice fast for the next three days - specific juices to cleanse and strengthen me from the inside out. i also drank plenty of water and i had at least one 2 oz shot of wheatgrass every day. oh… Read how I did it…
How I did it: i did it when my husband was out of town for awhile, so i wouldn't have to cook anything - or explain why i wasn't eating i did some basic research online about the history of fasting and what it does to the body, so i would know what to expect to be sure that i was getting the basic nutrients i needed, i drank a shot of "green vibrance" 2x daily i followed up the fast with a hydrocolonic on the 4th day, for a thorough cleansiing a… Read how I did it…

i have to join AFTRA because i’m a “must join” – they snagged me when i got an under five on a soap opera. surprise! it’s going to cost me $1300 american bucks and no surprise, i don’t have it.
here’s the kicker: if i join after october, then it’s $1600. yikes!
i need a job…
I’m actually co-producing my jazz CD – started recording it in January and I absolutely MUST finish it by the end of the summer, or else I miss out on some pretty cool opportunities that are beginning to pop up for the fall.
It’s going to be 12 songs. We’re aiming to get back into the studio by the end of August.
And yes. All of it feels like I’m flying by the seat of my pants.
