I’ve been without a tv set since I’ve moved and it has totally changed my sleeping pattern. Now I read and I go to be early and naturally wake up early. I’m yawning by 9pm. I know I used to watch junk on tv and will continue to watch some shows but staying up in front of the tv just vegging is not gonna happen again.

Finishing the Dissertation
Aside from becoming an “expert” in a particular are of study, I think this dissertation experience was worth it because you really test your limits (intellectual, emotional, financial, physical) and coming out on top is better than running a marathon!
My advice to others would be to put the dissertation in its place: it is a long paper that’s it! Don’t make it the definition of all you are or will become. It is your first work not your best work. I wish I had embraced this concept long ago to save myself a lot of stress.
Hang in there you can do it! And don’t forget to take care of yourself.
