master all six ysaye violin sonatas
Untitled 20 months ago

so far i’ve mastered:
last mvt of no. 1
all of no. 2
all of no. 3
first and last mvt of no. 4
first mvt of no. 5
all of no. 6

it’s taking a while because i don’t find much time for practice these days, but i’m getting there~!

update November 18, 2008. I’ve been stagnating lately, but one good thing about that is that it provides me with much time for practice. I’ve now mastered all of the sonatas, except for the second movement of #4 which I simply don’t care for, and the last two movements of #5, which I don’t have the patience for right now. They’re not at all difficult, compared to the other movements, I simply don’t have the interest. Instead, I recently learned Wieniawski’s Variations on an Original Theme and Paganini’s I Palpiti and Nel Cor Piu Non Mio Sento Variations, and I’m relearning some of the caprices (most notably the first, to work on my ricochet).

reach 120 lbs
Untitled 20 months ago

I’ve done this long ago but forgot to update my 43things, bulked up to 145lbs!!

update November 18, 2008. I uploaded a picture of my progress today. I haven’t weighed myself in a very long time (probably since I wrote this), but I’m about 145 lbs in this picture, taken a few months ago. The addition of homemade weight-gainer shakes into my daily diet has helped tremendously. The shakes consist of raw baby oats, natural peanut butter, raw egg whites (typically 3 whites and one yolk), ground flaxseed, and milk. It’s more appetizing than it sounds, really not that bad at all. And I’ve cut whey protein out of my diet, because it game me digestion problems, and these new shakes replace the protein intake. I’m very proud of how far I’ve come. My goal now is 150-160.

find a job (read all 4 entries…)
I just got a job! 3 years ago

I’d been waiting to hear from two Walmarts after having my second interviews on Monday. This morning, I was woken by a call from the further Walmart (which I actually preferred) and they asked when I could come in for orientation.. so exciting! Jubilant but tired, I went back to sleep, only to be woken about 15 minutes later by a call from the other store, asking me the same thing! Two job offers and I got to turn one down! :D What a great feeling. I can’t wait to work!
